Job summary

Great Hearts Live Oak Lower School in Live Oak, TX is seeking a Kindergarten Lead Teacher. You will provide a welcoming classroom, implement the Great Hearts curriculum, and guide students to a love of learning under the supervision of the Headmaster.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or higher, work in a tuition-free classical school network, and commitment to the program’s values. US work authorization is required; travel is minimal for training.

Qualifications

• Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
• Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
• Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
