Job summary

Aztec Municipal School District Lydia Rippey Elementary School in Aztec, NM is seeking a Kindergarten Educational Assistant to support teachers, staff and students under direct supervision. Qualifications

• Must possess a current New Mexico Educational License.
• High school diploma or higher is preferred (AA or higher).
• Ability to fulfill physical requirements and support students.

Responsibilities

• Manages all work in teacher’s work room
• Checks and operates all equipment (some maintenance)
• Works with and for all teachers
• Establishes schedules: materials to be checked out, lounge duty, birthdays
• Keeps records of materials being ordered and used in working room
• Works in front office while secretaries are out, fills in classrooms when teachers need to be out of their rooms
• Is able to run workroom without much supervision
• Is able to keep all things confidential
• Is prompt and dependable, preparing work for teachers within two days of request
• Other duties as assigned
