Job summary

Archdiocese of Seattle is seeking a Kindergarten Aide to support teachers in creating a faith-filled, developmentally appropriate learning environment. You will assist with lesson preparation, supervise students, and help maintain classroom organization and safety.

The role emphasizes Catholic values, daily prayer, and participation in liturgies and service projects. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preference for education coursework and experience with young children.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or coursework in Education preferred).
• Experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings.
• Commitment to Catholic education and support for the school’s faith-based mission.
• Patience, kindness and enthusiasm for working with young learners.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with lesson preparation and instructional activities.
• Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce lessons.
• Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, and during arrival/dismissal.
• Assist with bathroom breaks, handwashing, and self-care routines.
• Foster a Christ-centered environment through daily prayer and faith-based activities.
• Help set up and maintain classroom materials and learning centers.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student learning.
