Job summary

Juneau School District is seeking an Early Childhood Education/KinderReady teacher to work at Harborview Elementary School with three- and four-year-old students. The role is a full-time position (0.9333 FTE) with responsibilities including presenting instructional activities and recording student progress.

The candidate will work primarily with non-special education students, in a setting that requires CPR/First Aid readiness and may require district-approved behavioral management techniques.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• AA degree or 48 semester hours or willingness to take WorkKeys exam.
• CPR, first aid and district approved behavioral management techniques may be required.

Responsibilities

• Works with three and four-year-olds not in special education.
• Presents material and activities to improve reading, writing, math, computers and/or vocational education.
• Records grades and other measures of students' progress and behavior.
