Job summary

Christy Co in Crooksville, OH is seeking a hands-on Kiln Packaging associate to join our manufacturing team. You will unload and package finished products, perform quality control tests, and help move kiln cars along the tracks while staying focused on safety and quality.

This role requires physical labor, lifting over 50 lbs, and a willingness to learn, with forklift training provided and opportunities to grow within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Mechanically inclined with aptitude for tools and hands-on tasks.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing work is a plus but not required.
• Able to learn measuring devices and QC testing equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Unload finished products from kiln cars.
• Package finished products safely, correctly, and professionally.
• Perform quality control testing (Crush, Drop, Sizing, Water Absorption).
• Record test results and quarantine out-of-spec products.
• Move kiln cars along tracks as needed.
• Clean, repair, and maintain kiln cars.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Operate a forklift (training provided).
• Perform other duties as required by shift supervisor.
