Job summary

Precision Castparts in Wickliffe, OH is seeking a manufacturing technician to perform processing operations and operate furnaces according to established procedures.

You will document all steps, balance saggers, monitor loads, and work as part of a team to maintain quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Previous manufacturing exposure and strong communication help ensure accurate reporting and reliable operation.

Qualifications

• High school education is preferred.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be self-directed to accomplish goals with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Build loads for kilns by properly balancing saggers.
• Run thermal equipment (Wax Binder and PK furnace) according to procedure.
• Set time and temperature parameters using standard programs; monitor charts.
• Notify engineering if temperatures are out of specification.
• Correct load and unload cores; assist with minor equipment maintenance.
• Visually inspect cores for defects; maintain housekeeping and 6S.

Essential Functions

• Build loads for kilns by properly balancing saggers.
• Place fire check keys in appropriate places for Lab Analysis.
• Run all thermal equipment, including Wax Binder and PK furnace according to procedure
• Set time and temperature parameters according to procedure using standard programs. Monitor temperature charts and notify engineering if out of specification.
• Correct load and unload cores
• Assist with minor equipment maintenance.
• Visually inspect cores for defects
• Report all problems to Supervision, Maintenance or Engineering as required
• Must follow and adhere to all safety procedures.
• Maintain department standards for housekeeping/6S
• Other duties as assigned by supervision
