Google is seeking a Policy Strategist to serve as a primary domain authority for kids and teens content safety. You will handle novel policy challenges across generative AI, product capabilities, and age-appropriate content risks, shaping proactive policy through cross-functional partnership.

You will lead policy formulation, partner with Engineering and Product, and embed safety-by-design into roadmaps while grounding decisions in developmental needs of youth.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in a policy, legal, trust and safety, or technology environment.
• Experience working with AI-related policy issues in child safety, online harms, or age-appropriate product design.

Responsabilidades

• Drive the development and iteration of comprehensive, research-grounded policies and strategies that ensure Google's products offer age-appropriate experiences to protect people from harmful content.
• Serve as a senior escalation authority for critical, high-visibility policy issues, translating acute incidents into long-term systemic fixes.
• Partner as the primary safety advisor to Product Managers, UX Designers, and SWE leads to embed safety-by-design principles into product roadmaps and ensure safety before launch.
• Track industry and social trends, analyze policy issues facing technology platforms, make recommendations on how to address these challenges across multiple Google products.
• Work with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting topics or content.
