Karate Zoo, presented by Amazing Athletes, introduces children to martial arts through a high-energy, progression-based program. With Muscle Zoo friends, students build confidence, discipline, focus, respect, and coordination while earning colored belts.

This part-time coach role is perfect for someone who loves kids and teaching. Available 2pm–4:30pm on at least two afternoons per week, with pay starting at $20/hour during training and rising to $25/hour after.

Qualifications

• Flexible, part-time schedule that works well with school or another job.
• Paid training and ongoing professional development including pay and reimbursement for CPR and additional certifications/training.
• Starting Pay (Assistant Instructor during training): $20/hour
• Instructor Pay (after successful training): $25/hour
• Performance-based advancement opportunities with pay up to $40/hour.

Responsibilities

• Lead karate sessions for preschool and elementary-age children in a fun, engaging manner.
• Follow lesson plans and bring activities to life.
• Maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Complete DCF background check and childcare/school clearance.
