KinderCare in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dedicated center cook/assistant to ensure safe, hygienic food services for children. You will prepare meals, manage food orders, and assist with center duties while adhering to licensing requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen safety, accurate documentation, and supporting enrollment and engagement goals alongside center staff and leadership. You may be asked to lift up to 40 pounds and collaborate closely with teachers and center

Qualifications

• A love for children and desire to make a difference daily.
• Familiarity with food storage and allergy-aware needs.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare quantities.
• Basic math for portions.
• Food Handler’s License or willingness to obtain.
• At least one year of institutional cooking; food ordering desirable.
• Two+ years working with children desirable.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies.
• Dispense and store medication, as requested.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation per KinderCare rules.
• Help with daily center duties as needed.
• Support center success by partnering with staff to achieve enrollment and engagement goals.
