Job summary

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) seeks a Chef Assistant/Sous Chef to support the Chef Instructor in daily cooking and culinary camps. You will set up equipment, supervise campers, and help with demonstrations while maintaining kitchen safety and cleanliness.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Culinary arts or baking experience or schooling.
• Experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and mise en place for daily cooking/baking activities.
• Monitor campers to ensure safety and compliance with camp rules.
• Assist with and/or lead cooking or baking demos with oversight from Chef Instructor.
• Ensure proper food safety and sanitation.
• Help campers with recipes and assist with plating for meals or snacks.
• Assist with cleaning tasks and other duties as assigned.
