Job summary

YSS at United Elementary School in Boone, IA is seeking a Kids Club Site Coordinator to plan and run all-day programming for school-year and breaks, coordinating with staff and community resources. You will develop themed monthly activities aligned with program goals and provide leadership to site staff in behavior management, teaching, and administration.

Responsibilities include supervising children, ensuring safe check-in/check-out, delivering nutritious meals and snacks, and maintaining

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/equivalent and three years of experience in an elementary/middle school, child-care, or child development setting.
  • Associate's or higher degree and at least one year of experience in an elementary/middle school, child-care, or child development setting.

Qualifications

MUST HAVES - Required Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma/equivalent and three years of experience in an elementary/middle school, child-care, or child development setting.
  • Associate's or higher degree and at least one year of experience in an elementary/middle school, child-care, or child development setting.
SHOULD HAVES - Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or higher degree in early childhood, child development, or elementary education
  • Successful completion of CPR/First Aid, Universal Precautions, and Mandatory Reporter Training. If not in place at time of hire, certifications must be obtained within the first three months of employment.
  • Experience working with individuals of diverse identities, including racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation and socio-economic status.
  • Experience as a supervisor.
  • Is a strong communicator both verbally and non-verbally, with excellent observational, listening, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences including customers, clients, and the public as well as colleagues and other staff members.
  • Patient and calm under pressure and able to deal with challenging situations with a good attitude.
  • Can think and act quickly to resolve complex problems using creative/critical thinking, resourcefulness, and tac.
  • Organized with a high attention to detail.
  • Able to manage time and resources effectively.
