Job summary

Edina Public Schools is seeking a Kids Club/Community Education Program Specialist to plan and lead after-school, before-school, and summer childcare activities for school-aged children at Countryside Elementary.

This full-time 12-month position requires an associate degree in recreation, education, child development or related field and at least two years of related experience, plus CPR, First Aid, CPI and DHS certifications either at hire or within six months.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in recreation, education, child development or related field; at least two years of related work experience.
• CPR, First Aid, CPI, and DHS Certification required upon hire or within six months.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead program staff and students in enriching activities, programs, and special events of before/after school and summer full-day childcare programs.
• Support and advance the Edina Public Schools' mission, vision and core values in program delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for all students.

Education

Associate's degree in recreation, education, child development or related field

CPR certification

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention
