Gold’s Gym’s Kids Club Associate provides primary care for infants, organizes independent and group activities for toddlers, and directly supervises older children in a specific area of the gym. The primary job is to ensure the safety and security of all children while in the Kids Club care.
Responsibilities
- Care for children in a defined area of the gym for the attending member(s)
- Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games
- Read the children, teach simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs
- Provide special needs care as needed, including securing children in equipment such as chairs and slings
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in the Kids Club area
- Sanitize toys, play equipment, and complete the daily cleaning list
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed as needed: accident reports, sign‑in sheets, weekly tally sheets, opening and closing tasks
- Attend all required staff meetings
- Page parent/guardian if necessary for discipline issues and attend to personal needs (diaper changing, clothing changes, restroom assistance)
- Ensure parents are adhering to the Kids Club policies and sign child in and out of the facility
- Ensure that all safety precautions are taken when receiving and releasing children to the parent/guardian by using the ID check process
- Be accountable for the children at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to safely lift and hold children
- Ability to set up play equipment and pick up toys
- Must be able to communicate well with children
- Excellent verbal and written communication with adults (parents) required
Compensation: $15.16 per hour
