Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Transplant Nephrologist to join its growing transplant team. The physician will oversee pre-transplant evaluations, waitlist management, and post-transplant follow-up, collaborating with surgeons and other specialists to advance transplant access in the Mid-South.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited nephrology fellowship.
• Board certification in nephrology or eligibility with certification planned soon.
• Experience in transplant nephrology and licensure in Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage candidates for kidney transplantation.
• Perform pre-transplant assessments and determine candidacy with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care for kidney transplant recipients.
• Develop and monitor immunosuppressive treatment plans and monitor for complications.
• Manage post-transplant complications including allograft dysfunction and infections.
• Participate in transplant selection and program development decisions.
• Collaborate with surgeons, dialysis, primary care, and nephrologists to ensure seamless care.
