The Nutrition Group is seeking a dependable food service worker for a local school kitchen in Philadelphia. You will perform cooking, food preparation, and serving to students during daytime hours, with Monday–Friday shifts and no evenings or weekends.

Following USDA guidelines, you will maintain sanitation, ensure HAACP compliance, and assist in monitoring costs and inventory. Strong interpersonal skills and basic computer literacy are important in this role.

• Previous food service experience is preferred.

• Reliable transportation to and from work is recommended.

About the Job:

This position will be working in a local school kitchen/cafeteria.

Duties may include:

• Cooking and food preparation
• Portioning and serving
• Sanitation in conjunction with USDA and state guidelines
• HAACP and health department regulation compliance
• Assisting to monitor costs and inventory controls

Qualifications:

• The ability to obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks
• A positive and consistent work ethic
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• A willingness to learn and grow within your position
• Food service experience preferred
• Computer literacy preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Physical Requirements May Include:

• Standing for long periods of time
• Sitting, pushing, pulling
• Lifting up to and in excess of 40lbs
• Walking
