Job summary

JobRx, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a diligent Key Holder to support the General Manager by directing store operations and ensuring prompt, courteous service. You will lead a team, oversee POS activities, and help maintain accurate cash handling and inventory processes.

This role requires strong organizational skills, two years of retail management experience (pharmacy setting preferred), and the ability to train staff. A Pharmacy Technician Trainee license must be obtained if not already held.

Qualifications

  • Two years management experience, retail setting preferred.
  • One year experience in a Pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Must obtain Pharmacy Technician Trainee license upon hire if not licensed.

Job Title: Key Holder


General Summary: This position is a non-exempt, sales position responsible for greeting and assisting customers in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner. This position will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in leading and directing operations.This position requires attention to detail and organizational skills that ensure prompt payment for prescriptions and store merchandise.


Essential Job Responsibilities:


  1. Responsible for leading and directing a team of employees in a positive manner to ensure a positive customer experience.

  2. Responsible for all aspects of the POS system to include input, upkeep, and ongoing training of employees using the POS system.

  3. Responsible for knowing the duties of all direct reports and possessing the ability to function in these positions when necessary.

  4. Assist with new employee orientation and training as well as ongoing training for current direct reports.

  5. Responsible for inventory ordering and processing, including DME, from numerous vendors as well as product returns, and merchandise transfers from location to location.

  6. Responsible for knowing proper paperwork for DME.

  7. Responsible for knowledge of current compliance issues.

  8. Responsible for general maintenance, upkeep, and appearance of the store.Keeping assigned areas and the stock room organized and clean.

  9. Responsible for greeting and serving customers in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.

  10. Responsible for having basic knowledge of the functions of Pharmacy computer systems including "work flow".

  11. Responsible for proficiency in the prescription bagging system.

  12. Responsible for being able to generate courier manifest.

  13. Responsible for processing charge account payments and charges including the daily cash delivery accounts.

  14. Responsible for triaging customers to evaluate wait times.

  15. Responsible for having general knowledge of DME equipment in order to answer questions and complete rental and purchase paperwork accurately.

  16. Responsible for PSE sales and log book as well as the signature log.

  17. Responsible for promoting all pharmacy programs with each customer.

  18. Responsible for following proper pharmacy closing procedures including restocking process.


Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Education

High School or equivalent.


Experience

Suggested minimum of two years management experience, preferably in the retail setting. One year experience in Pharmacy setting.


Other Requirements

Other Requirements: Must obtain Pharmacy Technician Trainee license upon hire if not already licensed with the Board of Pharmacy. Strong organizational and leadership skills.

  1. Knowledge of principles and practices of retail pharmacy planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of a pharmacy location within the organization

  2. Knowledge of the surrounding community demographics to be able to assist with product selection and merchandising for individual locations.

  3. Knowledge of the policies and procedures of the pharmacy sufficient to direct its
    retail operations and to provide quality customer service.

  4. Knowledge of organization services available to customers.

  5. Knowledge of product location within the store to be able to direct customers.

  6. Knowledge of phone systems, especially calls for refills and new prescriptions.

Equipment Operated

Digital sign, ATM (where applicable), lamination machine, standard retail machines to include POS system, telephones, copy machines, fax
machines, digital photo processor (where applicable), lottery machines, and key cutting machines (where applicable).


Work Environment

This position is in a fast-paced, retail environment. Occasional
evening and weekend work.


Mental/Physical Requirements

Involves sitting, walking, standing, and lifting.
Position also involves managing employees and dealing with any employee conflicts that
arise from such management.
