Job summary

AGUA CALIENTE CASINO RANCHO MIRAGE is seeking a Security/Locksmith Specialist to manage key control and locking devices within the casino environment. You will oversee the key control system, maintain databases, and ensure accountability across departments, while coordinating locksmith services as needed.

You will also handle lost and found, contraband handling, and documentation, ensuring compliance and communication with Surveillance and Gaming Agents.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• One year of related experience in the security locksmith field or equivalent training is required.
• Ability to communicate in English and write clear, concise reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the ACCC Key Control and Inventory System.
• Reference and maintain an updated key computer database.
• Maintain accountability of keys for departments with separate key control systems.
• Complete repairs related to keys, locks, and locking devices.
• Coordinate outside locksmith services and keep repair records/receipts.
• Maintain Key/Lock Disposition Files; notify Surveillance/Gaming Agents of damaged hardware.
• Duplicate keys on request with Director of Security approval.
• Responsible for Security Lost and Found processes.
• Create and maintain a monthly inventory reference book for items found, lost, and returned; report donated items.
• Maintain storage and documentation of contraband; secure illegal items in custody.
• Maintain relations with local law enforcement for contraband release.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Security.

Must be able to write clear and concise reports and be able to communicate in English.One year related experience in security lock-smith industry and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Working Conditions/Physical DemandsTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment. Must be able to work in a lighting subdued environment for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions to include extreme heat and cold weather. Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
