Job summary

Marshalls, part of The TJX Companies, Inc., seeks a Key Carrier in Huntsville, AL to support store operations and lead as Manager on Duty, delivering exceptional customer service and guiding staff through daily tasks.

The role requires open availability including nights and weekends and involves coaching Associates, maintaining store standards, and executing opening/closing procedures according to policy. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to guidelines
• Communicates with management and Associates on priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and feedback
• Coaches and trains Associates with Management on training needs
• Ensures adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety and maintains a safe environment

The Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers alternate their role based on store needs, predominantly performing the role of Coordinator and occasionally acting as Key Carrier, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store. Key Carriers must have open availability, including nights and weekends. Role models exceptional customer service.

• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
