Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Store Leader at HomeGoods in Hillsboro, OR to ensure a top-notch customer experience and smooth store operations. You will act as Manager on Duty, coach Associates, and prioritize tasks to meet store plans.

Applicants should have strong communication skills, a proven ability to multitask, and at least 1 year of retail experience with 6 months in a leadership role. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is essential.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates with management and Associates when setting priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
