The TJX Companies, Inc. Marshalls store in Marshall, MO is seeking a capable leader to drive a positive customer experience while coaching a team of Associates.

You will act as Manager on Duty, ensure store operations follow policy, manage schedules, training, and safety, and partner with management on priorities. Strong communication, problem solving, and multitasking in a fast-paced retail environment are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year retail experience with 6+ months leadership experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to coach, delegate and follow up on tasks.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of merchandise flow and store procedures.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive customer experience and addresses service issues.
• Acts as Manager on Duty and ensures adherence to store policies.
• Monitors staffing and allocates tasks to meet store plans.
• Provides coaching and feedback to Associates.
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are followed.
• Supports training needs and safety compliance.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs and shrink reduction goals.
• Communicates priorities with management and Associates.

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
