Job summary

TJX Companies, HomeGoods location in Gulfport MS, is hiring for a Key Carrier/Coordinator role. You will alternate duties between Coordinator and Key Carrier, leading by example and ensuring store operations align with policies.

Must have open availability, including nights and weekends, and a proven track record in retail, coaching, and customer service. This role emphasizes teamwork, problem solving, and maintaining a positive customer experience.

• 1 year retail experience; 6 months leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Act as Coordinator and Manager on Duty as needed
• Ensure opening/closing procedures are executed per guidelines
• Coach and provide feedback to Associates
• Maintain accurate Associate coverage for service areas
• Promote safe, compliant store operations and customer experience
• Communicate priorities clearly to management and staff

Job Description:

• Key Carriers alternate their role based on store needs, predominantly performing the role of Coordinator and occasionally acting as Key Carrier, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store.
• Must have open availability, including nights and weekends.
• Role models exceptional customer service.
• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
