Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. HomeGoods store in Flagstaff, AZ is seeking a Manager on Duty to lead daily operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

You will coach associates, maintain open communication with management, ensure adherence to procedures, and prioritize tasks to meet store goals. This role requires flexibility, problem solving, and strong organizational skills, with 1 year retail and 6 months leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality.
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure.
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed.
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates.
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures.
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to guidelines.
• Communicates updates to management and Associates on priorities.
• Provides feedback and coaching to Associates.
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs.
• Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Supports shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.

• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs
