The company sells and markets products in institutional settings of care and maintains a field‑based medical and commercial infrastructure in hospitals, clinics and infusion centers.

Position

Key Account Manager (KAM) – hospital‑based or integrated sites of care. The KAM launches and sells innovative products in assigned institutional accounts, including integrated delivery networks (IDNs) and alternate sites of care for infusion. Responsibilities include educating clinicians on clinical benefits, facilitating formulary access, expanding product utilization through protocol adoption, securing contract arrangements, and ensuring account and clinician access to achieve business goals. The role may involve engagement with Long Term Acute Care hospitals, home infusion companies, and infusion centers outside traditional hospitals. The KAM manages key accounts across the Hoboken, NJ territory.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Increase product access and sales by navigating the institutional formulary approval process and educating customers on appropriate use.
  • Secure placement of products on appropriate account protocols and ensure they are integrated into EMR systems.
  • Develop relationships with local infusion sites, LTACHs, and home infusion companies.
  • Create territory and account‑level plans to grow product utilization, formulary access, and expand the customer base.
  • Understand interdependencies within an account, align solutions and messaging, and maximize account performance.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with hospital opinion leaders, physicians, medical staff, and pharmacists.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement hospital‑oriented education forums per company policies and business plans.
  • Collaborate with hospital treatment committees to include products on appropriate disease‑state protocols.
  • Facilitate continuity of care for discharged patients via protocol inclusion and reimbursement alignment.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Medical Affairs, National Accounts, Marketing, and Sales Administration on opportunities, KOL touch points, formulary changes, and pull‑through initiatives.
Skills & Requirements
  • Proven track record of hospital sales within assigned territory/accounts.
  • Recent acute‑care hospital or integrated sites of care sales experience.
  • Ability to create alternate sites of care within the territory.
  • Knowledge of selling in a buy‑and‑bill market.
  • Experience planning and executing new product launches in hospital/account settings.
  • Highly motivated, self‑starter, and results‑driven.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team under pressure and shifting priorities.
  • Strong project‑management skills to meet timelines and multi‑task effectively.
  • Passion for continuous professional development and learning.
  • Can thrive in a matrix environment and value teamwork.
  • Ability to build relationships and rapport with a diverse customer base.
  • Strong technical product knowledge application.
  • Willingness and ability to provide proof of childhood immunizations, a negative TB test, and other credentialing requirements as per each hospital's protocol.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and/or training experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an account‑selling role within a hospital/account ecosystem.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel as needed to sustain key relationships and attend conferences and meetings.
  • Preferred buy/bill and home infusion experience.
  • Preferred hospital experience in Acute Care, Infectious Disease, or Hemodialysis.
Travel

Field‑based position with frequent day‑to‑day travel expected.
