Kennywood, located in Pennsylvania, seeks a skilled Carpenter to maintain and repair wooden structures across the park. You will work under the Maintenance Manager/Director to modify, repair, and refurbish rides and buildings, and perform preventive maintenance on wood components and tracks.
Qualified candidates have a High School diploma, 2+ years carpentry or maintenance experience, and the ability to read blueprints. 18+ with reliable transport; evenings/weekends may be required.

Kennywood - Carpenter
A Carpenter ensures the highest standard of park operational repair and maintenance by meeting all required guidelines.
Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager/Director, Carpenters are responsible for the modification, repair, and refurbishment of all wooden structures found within the park location.
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Equivalent work experience will also be considered
2-Year Vocational, Trade School, or Associate’s degree preferred but not required.
2+ years of previous maintenance or carpentry work experience highly desired
Previous work experience performing maintenance or carpentry on roller coasters, rides, or other attractions preferred
Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Pennsylvania Child Labor Laws
Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to close
Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Must be safety conscious and adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
Ability to interact with other team members, guests, contractors, and suppliers in a positive, professional manner
Ability to comprehend blueprints and schematic diagrams and follow the manufacturers’ guidelines for each piece of equipment or attraction
General working knowledge of carpentry practices and techniques is desired
Must be able to operate trade equipment and make repairs while following all company policies and procedures
Ability to utilize common power and hand tools in a safe and effective manner
Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently
