Job summary

Park West Veterinary Associates in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking dedicated Kennel Technicians to care for boarded cats and dogs, including feeding, potty breaks, playtime and medicating, while maintaining spotless suites with our Fear Free team.

We value positivity under pressure, a willingness to learn about veterinary medicine, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Prior experience is welcomed but not required; growth and teamwork are encouraged with great staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Positive under pressure with a passion for helping animals and people.
• Flexible schedule with weekend and holiday availability.
• Prior kennel or veterinary experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Care for boarded cats and dogs, including feeding, potty breaks, and play.
• Medicate and monitor pets, keeping suites clean to standard.
• Collaborate with client care and veterinary teams for seamless service.
• Monitor stress or anxiety using Fear Free techniques.

A day in the life:

The main responsibilities of our Kennel Technicians is to care for cats and dogs boarding with us while their parents are away, doing potty breaks, playtime activities, feeding and medicating and maintaining their suites with our standard of cleanliness. You’ll work closely with our client care and veterinary teams to ensure a seamless patient care and customer service experience. Our Fear Free Certified team takes extra measures to make our patients comfortable and are trained to monitor them for signs of stress or anxiety, so that we can help alleviate it.

What we need from you:

Our ideal candidate is positive under pressure, has a passion for helping not only animals, but people too, and the ability to make our practice better. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule and a willingness to work weekends and holidays. Most importantly, we would love you to join our team if you are interested in furthering your knowledge about veterinary medicine and looking for an opportunity to grow. Prior experience is preferred, but not required.
