Delaware North operates Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, WV, seeking Backside Security Guards for full-time or part-time work. Duties include continuous kennel observation, welfare checks, and reporting security concerns.

The role supports animal welfare and guest safety with rotating shifts, overtime as needed, and comprehensive benefits. Pay is $13.00–$13.50 per hour with weekly pay, training opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout assigned shift.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to successfully pass all required background screenings

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of the kennel facility and surrounding area.
• Conduct routine animal welfare checks throughout assigned shift.
• Monitor kennel access points and report unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Ensure kennel gates, doors, and fences remain secure.
• Observe and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or facility issues.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in required logs.
• Contact Security Management as required during emergencies.
• Assist with emergency evacuations or animal relocations under management direction.
• Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with guests, vendors, and employees.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
