Job summary

Bow Wow Bed & Breakfast is seeking a versatile team member to care for boarding dogs, perform detailed cleaning of the building, and take on secretary desk duties, with occasional grooming help when needed. The job requires multitasking, physical stamina to lift 50 lb dogs, sanitizing cages and runs, and one-on-one customer interaction.

Shifts vary and are usually around four hours; candidates should live near the business and be able to work on weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Care for boarding dogs and everyday care tasks.

Bow Wow Bed & Breakfast is a privately owned boarding and grooming business that has been serving Columbia City, IN for over 25 years. We are looking for a new team member that will primarily enjoy taking care of the boarding dogs, detail cleaning of building, secretary desk duties and is also occasionally willing to help in grooming department when needed for bathing and clipping nails of the boarding dogs. If you enjoy a job that requires mental and physical multitasking, cleaning, and direct contact with dogs than you might just be the person we are looking for! Experience in a pet care professional environment like boarding kennels, vet office, shelters, grooming shops or dog training is very helpful and preferred but the right candidate could be trained. Must be physically capable of lifting a 50lb dog and able to get up and down off the floor while working. Must enjoy cleaning and sanitizing cages, building and outside runs. One on one interaction with customers necessary. Light office duties including answering the phone, scheduling, filing and handling payments required. Must be willing to work alone on some shifts and also with team members on others. Shifts are usually no longer than an average of 4 hours in length so living close to the business is helpful.

Various shifts available weekdays and weekends:

Daytime shifts 7:00am-12:00pm

Evening shifts 4:00pm-8:00pm
