Job summary

Constellis is seeking a Kennel Attendant to provide care for canines at our Moyock, NC facility. You will monitor dogs' health, clean kennels, feed, groom, exercise, and may administer medications.

The role requires ability to lift up to 100 lbs, valid driver’s license, and ability to work outside in various weather; schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with potential extended hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

Kennel Attendant will provide care for canines in our Moyock facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor health and well-being of dogs


• Immediately report any health or medical issues to Kennel Supervisor


• Clean kennels, feeds, grooms, exercises, and administers medication(s) to dogs


• Transport dogs to the veterinarian


• Coordinate and transport students and K9s to and from the airport in support of training and operational requirements


• Complete K-9 documentation as directed


• Work conditions can vary from a busy training environment tofield work, both subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outsideand ininclement weather conditions isrequired, including heat, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may berequired, and the work schedule will vary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting

• Must be able to lift and carryvarious itemsweighing up to 100 lbs. Requires standing forlong periodsof time in all weather conditions. Requires intermittent sitting, walking, running, climbing, squatting, stretching, bending, and kneeling. Requires constant use of hands and fingers to feel, handle oroperateobjects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms
