CareVet is seeking a dedicated Kennel Attendant for East Montgomery Animal Hospital in Montgomery, AL. This role involves daily care for boarded animals, feeding, bathing, exercising, and monitoring health under veterinary supervision.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, prior animal experience, and strong customer service and teamwork skills. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Join a team focused on compassionate animal care and safe kennel operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with animals preferred.
• Customer service oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Care for boarded animals daily and monitor health and behavior.
• Assist with bathing, feeding, exercising and medication administration.
• Maintain kennel cleanliness and organize spaces.
• Report changes in animal health or behavior to Vet or Hospital Manager.
• Maintain accurate records: weights, treatments, medications, and intake.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Doctor/Hospital Manager/Kennel Manager.
• Wash, dry and fold laundry as part of kennel tasks.
• Must lift 50 lbs, stoop, bend and stand for long periods.

Position: Kennel Attendant

Location: East Montgomery Animal Hospital, 8424 Vaughn Rd, Montgomery, AL 36117

Job Responsibilities

• Daily care for boarded animals
• Bathing, exercising, feeding, administering medication, and monitoring behavior
• Assist with kennel maintenance and cleaning
• Reporting changes in animal behavior, health or concerns to Vet or Hospital Manager
• Maintaining animal records, such as weight, physical condition, treatments received, medications given, food intake, and other potential data as needed
• Other duties as assigned by Doctor/Hospital Manager/Kennel Manager
• Washing, drying, and folding laundry
• Must be able to lift 50lbs or more, stoop, bend and stand on feet for long periods.
