Job summary

CareVet of Goldsboro is seeking a Kennel Attendant to provide daily care for boarded animals at our Goldsboro, NC facility. Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, exercising, feeding, administering medications, and monitoring behavior, while maintaining clean kennels and accurate records.

The role supports our clinical team and customer-focused environment, communicating changes to the Vet/Hospital Manager. Must lift 50 lbs, assist with boarding at capacity, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Daily care for boarded animals.
• Bathing, grooming, exercising, feeding, administering medication, and monitoring behavior.
• Assist with kennel maintenance and cleaning.
• Manage boarding pets when at capacity (30+).
• Report changes in animal behavior, health or concerns to Vet or Hospital Manager.
• Maintain medical records and boarding data as needed.
• Schedule/manage boarding reservations.
• Other duties as assigned by Doctor/Hospital Manager/Kennel Manager.
• Wash, dry, and fold laundry.
• Lift 50 lbs or more, stoop, bend and stand for long periods.
• Travel may be required.

Position

The Kennel Attendant position is a key role for our kennel that provides daily care for our boarded animals and assist with kennel maintenance. The position involves cleaning, bathing, grooming,exercisingand feeding our boarded animals. The Attendant is also responsible for cleaning cages, administering medication, and monitoring the behavior of our boarded dogs. The role interacts with the clinical team, clients and supports our customer focused environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily care for boarded animals
• Bathing, grooming, exercising, feeding, administering medication, and monitoring behavior
• Assist with kennel maintenance and cleaning
• Managing/Handling Boarding pets when at capacity (30+ is capacity)
• Reporting changes in animal behavior, health or concerns to Vet or Hospital Manager
• Maintaining medical records, such as weight, physical condition, treatments received, medications given, and food intake and other potential data as needed
• Scheduling/Managing Boarding Reservations
• Other duties as assigned by Doctor/Hospital Manager/Kennel Manager
• Washing, drying, and folding laundry
• Must be able to lift 50lbs or more, stoop, bend and stand on feet for long periods.
• Travel may be required
