Job summary

Mission Pet Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to care for boarding and daycare pets. You’ll help with feeding, exercise, and daily enrichment to keep animals safe and comfortable.

You’ll monitor behavior, report concerns to the veterinary team, and uphold rigorous cleanliness across kennels, runs, and outdoor spaces. This role requires physical stamina and reliability, with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate animal care.

• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and stay on the move.
• Experience with kennel or pet-care duties is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care for boarding and daycare pets, including feeding and exercise.
• Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting concerns to the medical team.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, runs, and outdoor areas.
• Assist with inventory and ensure smooth day-to-day operations in the resort.

Your Impact as a Kennel Assistant

• Provide Personalized Care: You'll be the primary caregiver for our boarding and daycare pets, ensuring they receive the correct food, exercise, and attention to make their stay comfortable and safe.
• Be the Eyes and Ears of Animal Health: You'll carefully monitor the behavior and habits of the animals in your care, promptly notifying the medical team of any unusual health concerns.
• Create a Safe and Healthy Environment: You'll take pride in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the entire resort, from the kennel areas and runs to the outside grounds.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: You'll keep the resort running smooth by managing inventory for food and cleaning supplies and collaborating with the team to ensure all tasks are completed.
