Job summary

Lafayette Veterinary Care Center is a 24/7 veterinary hospital offering boarding, grooming, and doggie daycare. The Pet Care Specialist role focuses on patient experience at our boarding facility and aims to create a fun, educational, and safe environment for employees, clients, and patients.

We are open around the clock to provide extraordinary care; responsibilities include caring for boarded patients and assisting with check-in/out, with pay ranging $10–$12 per hour and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with caring for boarded animals is preferred.
• Ability to follow schedules and hygiene protocols.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to shift changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide general care for boarded patients, including monitoring, feeding, watering, medicating, exercising, and cleaning.
• Restrain pets for safety as needed.
• Greet clients cheerfully and communicate updates on pet care.
• Maintain cleanliness of suites, runs, and feline condos.
• Ensure safety and security of patient areas.
• Support a team-oriented environment with positive attitude.

Lafayette Veterinary Care Center is a 24/7 veterinary hospital, along with boarding, grooming, and doggie daycare services. Our Pet Care Specialist role focuses on the patient experience at our boarding facility. This is a full-time position. Hours range from 5:30a-12:30p, 8a-4p, 12p-7p

Pay ranges from 10 on weekdays to 12 on weekends.

General care for boarded patients including monitoring, feeding, watering, medicating, exercising, and cleaning up after patients (inside and out), cleaning suites, runs, and feline condos.

Bringing animals to and from the kenneling areas during check-in and check-out times preparing these facility areas for the arrival and departure of patients.
