Job summary

Kearney's Digital & Analytics practice seeks an Associate for Connected Planning. You'll help clients reimagine planning using data, platforms, and AI to deliver measurable value across demand, supply, and IBP processes.

Qualifications

  • MBA preferred; 5–10 years of professional experience, ideally in management consulting or a Fortune 500 supply chain environment.
  • End-to-end planning experience (demand, supply, inventory, SIOP/IBP) with cross-industry transformation programs.
  • Hands-on planning platforms and analytics tools experience (o9, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder).
  • Ability to integrate planning data and analytics into large-scale operational transformations with AI support.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing client relationships.
  • Structured thinker; can navigate ambiguity and deliver actionable solutions.
  • Master’s degree in SCM/Industrial Engineering/Business/Analytics/Finance; MBA preferred.
  • Willing to relocate to listed cities (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, New York, SF, Toronto, DC).

Job Description

As an Associate within Kearney's Digital & Analytics (D&A) practice, you will be a core contributor to our Digital Operations team, specializing in Connected Planning.

In this role, you will help global organizations reimagine and optimize their planning functions using integrated business processes, end-to-end data capabilities, advanced analytics, and best-in-class planning platforms. You will work with clients across industries to lead complex planning engagements, guide teams in delivering measurable cost and efficiency value, and shape the future of connected planning at Kearney.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Kearney's fastest-growing capabilities at the intersection of strategy, supply chain, data science, and digital transformation.

Requirements

We want to hear from you if you are:

  • Experienced: An MBA (preferred) and 5–10 years of professional experience, ideally within management consulting or a Fortune 500 supply chain environment. 2+ years experience working as a management consultant is preferred.
  • Functionally grounded: Experience with the end-to-end planning process (demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, SIOP / S&OP and IBP), with experience driving transformation programs across industries such as consumer goods, healthcare, retail, and industrials.
  • Technically strong: Hands‑on experience with planning platforms and analytics tools (e.g., o9, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder).
  • Digitally and AI fluent: Understands how to integrate planning data, platforms, and analytics into large‑scale operational transformations. Able to leverage AI to support project delivery outcomes.
  • Leader and collaborator: You thrive in managing cross‑functional teams and partnering closely with clients at every stage of the journey. You have experience leading client conversations and client relationships.
  • Structured thinker: Can navigate ambiguity, break down complex information and problems, and create clear, actionable solutions.
  • Academically accomplished: Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Analytics, Finance, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Curious and entrepreneurial: Eager to build, scale, and influence a high-growth capability within a global firm.
  • Are located near or willing to relocate to Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Washington D.C.
Key Responsibilities
Connected Planning Delivery
  • Collaborate on end-to-end connected planning projects using digital tools like o9, Kinaxis, and Blue Yonder to design and enable efficient, resilient, and value‑driving supply chain planning processes.
  • Serve on client engagements, ensuring delivery quality, managing workstreams, and fostering trusted advisor relationships.
  • Translate executive priorities into analytical models and digital tools that support decision‑making across demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, SIOP / S&OP and IBP.
Practice Development
  • Collaborate with practice leadership to develop client proposals, participate in business development, and shape proprietary connected planning offerings.
  • Help drive innovation in the firm's connected planning approach—developing new IP, reusable assets, and thought leadership in areas.

Associate Base Salary (post MBA) - $188,000 - $194,000: Candidates without an MBA will also be considered for the role. Such candidates will be eligible for a base salary of $157,000. Under exceptional circumstances, candidates without an MBA may be considered for a base salary of $188,000. However, it is important to note that at Kearney, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, office location, knowledge, and skills. Kearney reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness. In addition to salary, individuals may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
