We are seeking an experienced KDB+ Consultant to join a high-performing technology and financial services transformation team. This role focuses on building and supporting scalable, high-performance data platforms for capital markets and real-time financial data processing environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in KDB+, q language programming, time-series data processing, and large-scale real-time data systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to identify opportunities for process optimization and system enhancement
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to support scalable data platform solutions
• Document system configurations, workflows, and operational procedures
• Conduct benchmarking studies and comparative analysis for tools, platforms, and data solutions
• Support implementation, integration, and maintenance of large-scale KDB+ environments
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize system efficiency
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability and operational excellence

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of:
• KDB+ data structures and datatypes
• Array-oriented programming concepts
• q-SQL
• KDB-specific joins including asof and window joins
• Interprocess communication
• Strong knowledge of KDB+ architecture components including:
• Tickerplant
• RDB

• Gateway
• Chained processes
• Experience managing enterprise-scale KDB+ environments with very large datasets and high user volumes
• Hands‑on experience integrating KDB+ with real‑time messaging systems such as:

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Capital Markets or Financial Services environments
• Business and systems analysis experience within trading or market data ecosystems
• Expertise in high-speed processing of time-series data
• Knowledge of wealth management and reference/static data domains

Education Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution required
• Relevant progressive experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements
