Job summary

Metro YMCAs in East Orange, NJ is seeking a part-time Coach I – Youth Sports to lead in teaching the assigned sport(s) and to ensure the safety and development of youth athletes.

The coach will uphold the YMCA's core values—Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility—while maintaining professional appearance, punctuality for practices and games, and positive relations with students, parents and officials. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

• Lead safe, educational practice sessions for youth

COACH I – YOUTH SPORTS

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening

community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Coach –

Youth Sports will lead in teaching the assigned sport(s). The Coach is responsible for ensuring

the safety of the students enrolled in his/her sport, must be knowledgeable about all aspects of

coaching multiple age groups and must encourage the highest standards of conduct and

scholastic achievement among all athletes. This part-time role may require evening and weekend

availability.
