American Electric Power Co. seeks an experienced Kafka engineer to operate and scale the enterprise data backbone. You will deploy connectors, containerize services, and implement automated pipelines for reliable real-time data movement across on‑prem and cloud environments.
You will monitor clusters with industry tools, troubleshoot complex data flows, and collaborate with architects to enforce standards and security across deployments.

Job Summary This role is responsible for engineering and operating the enterprise Kafka platform, company's strategic data movement backbone. The focus is on platform stability, scalability, data safety, and enablement of producer/consumer teams.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.
7 years’ relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Compensation Range: $98,993.00 - $128,688.00
