American K9 Detective Services is seeking a JuniorHandler in Dallas, TX. The role involves screening cargo for threats under TSA regulations and completing a 4–8 week training and certification before mobilization. The position requires handling a trained canine and maintaining training records.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, obtain KTN, SIDA badge, and STA within 4–6 weeks, have reliable transport with climate-controlled vehicle, and maintain all certifications.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain a Known Traveler Number (KTN) within 4–6 weeks of employment.
• Must be able to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge within 4–6 weeks of employment.
• Must be able to obtain a STA for Airport Badge within 4–6 weeks of employment.
• Must have reliable transportation with climate-controlled vehicle.
• Must complete and maintain required certifications within 4–8 weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Screen cargo and identify potential threats under TSA rules.
• Conduct X-Ray, physical search, and explosive trace detection duties as needed.
• Perform duties while working with a trained dog.
• Maintain training records and ensure canine care and living arrangements meet policy.
• Ensure security clearances and certifications are up to date.
