Job summary

A nonprofit organization in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a creative Theatre Instructor for students in grades K–8. Responsibilities include leading classes in acting, improvisation and stage movement, developing engaging theatre arts curriculum, and directing student performances. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, a background in Theatre, and a passion for nurturing young performers in a collaborative environment. This is an independent contractor position with essential health and background clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of prior experience teaching theatre to children.
• Complete at least 30 college credits related to Theatre.
• Valid CPR & First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach engaging theatre arts curriculum.
• Lead students in theatre games and collaborative scene work.
• Direct and coordinate student performances.
