Job summary

St. Barnabas Catholic School in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Technology Teacher to lead computer science, digital literacy, and educational technology instruction for students in Grades Pre-K through 8.

The ideal candidate will foster a safe, creative environment where young learners build foundational typing and device skills, and older students develop digital citizenship, basic coding, and media literacy through age-appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Early Childhood & Lower Elementary: Introduce basic device handling, mouse skills/touchscreen navigation, spatial reasoning, age-appropriate educational software, and foundational keyboarding.
• Upper Elementary: Teach formal keyboarding, Google Workspace basics, internet safety, digital citizenship, and introductory block-based coding (e.g., Code.org).
• Middle School: Guide students through advanced digital literacy, basic web design/programming, research skills, hardware basics, and ethical AI/technology usage.
• Integrate digital citizenship principles (online safety, cyberbullying prevention, copyright, and digital footprint awareness) across all grade levels.
