Job summary

Journey Community Schools is seeking a School Counselor for our Coleman, East, and Northeast Academy campuses in Tennessee. You will deliver comprehensive counseling services for grades K-8, conduct screenings, assessments, individual and group sessions, and contribute to school-wide interventions.

You will collaborate with RTI teams and external agencies, support students emotionally and academically, and maintain confidential records while coordinating with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in School Counseling from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum two years as a school counselor for grades K-8.
• Knowledge of counseling theories, practices, and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of school counseling services to K-8 students including screening and assessment, individual and group counseling, and school-wide intervention.
• Collaborate with RTI and Student Support Team to plan, implement, and monitor interventions.
• Coordinate with outside agencies to support students and families.
• Facilitate meetings and serve as a case manager for selected students.
• Maintain confidential counseling records and support students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
