Job summary

Village Charter School seeks a certified School Counselor to design, deliver, and evaluate a developmentally appropriate counseling program for students. The role emphasizes data-informed practices, collaboration with families and staff, and promoting equity and well‑being in a safe school climate.

The counselor will provide individual and group supports, crisis response when needed, and referral services while maintaining confidential records and complying with NJDOE requirements.

Qualifications

• NJDOE credential required or eligible with emergency pathway.
• Master's degree in School Counseling per NJ requirements.
• Criminal history and employment clearances completed.
• Pre-employment abuse/ misconduct checks fulfilled.
• Excellent oral and written communication with confidentiality.
