Job summary

Qualifications

• State Certification as a Physical Education Teacher is required.
• Successful prior teaching experience for appropriate grade level preferred.
• Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers Physical Education classes consistent with school district goals.
• Teaches knowledge of physical fitness, rhythm, coordination, and sports.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student growth and modifies instructional methods.

Skills

Knowledge of current physical education instructional methods

Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents

Ability to organize and coordinate work

Knowledge of physiology, health and nutrition

Education

Bachelors from an accredited college in education discipline

State Certification as a Physical Education Teacher

Masters Degree preferred
