Job summary

ACCEL Schools is hiring a Daily Substitute Teacher for Broadway Academy at Mount Pleasant in Cleveland, Ohio. The role supports EK-8th grade with engaging lessons and a positive classroom culture. You will prepare, differentiate, and assess student learning, while maintaining records and using technology.

Qualifications

Active and current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
Experience working in urban environments.
Ability to pass federal and state background checks.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
Manage student behavior in the classroom.
Communicate and meet with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
