Qualifications

• Valid PA certification in corresponding content area.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
• High level of organization and planning.
• Ability to develop rigorous lesson plans and assessments.
• Deep content area knowledge in art education.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Design coherent instruction aligned to state standards and best practices.
• Develop and update learning resources and participate in professional development.
• Create an instructional environment with respect and rapport to promote learning.
• Utilize varied instructional strategies to engage students age-appropriately.
• Manage student behavior and classroom procedures for a safe learning environment.
• Assess student learning using formal and informal methods to drive instruction.
• Implement student IEPs and participate in special education processes as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and report student progress per policy.
• Communicate with families regularly and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Own it, walk through the door, look in the mirror, and treat others with respect.
