Job summary

ASU Prep Global Academy in Phoenix is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support students in classroom settings, liaising between teachers and learners with special needs. You will supervise progress and behavior, assist with routines, and communicate with partnership staff to help students succeed.

The role requires meeting Highly Qualified standards, a DPS fingerprint clearance card, and CPR certification, with strong reading, writing, and teamwork skills to support individualized

Qualifications

• Must meet Highly Qualified requirements with specified education or credentials.
• Active DPS fingerprint clearance card is required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
• Previous experience supervising groups of children is preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Works with small groups under teacher supervision.
• Directs small groups of children and helps understanding directions.
• Reinforces classroom skills with individuals and groups.
• Assists with routine tasks and preparation for instruction.
• Maintains attendance records and classroom materials as needed.
• Provides behavior support and assists with daily living activities.
