Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking fun, dedicated elementary school reading tutors to inspire students. We teach reading at a K-6 level, with a focus on K-2 phonics development.

You will work with small groups (no more than 3 students), using pre-planned lessons, with flexible, part-time hours. This is not a remote position.

Join a supportive team and help students build confidence and literacy skills in a friendly, encouraging environment.

Qualifications

• Teaching credential recommended (required for some subjects).
• Minimum of one or two years of teaching experience preferred.
• You must enjoy teaching, working, and inspiring students.

Responsibilities

• Lead instruction for small groups (max 3 students) in reading.
• Follow pre-planned lessons; straightforward to manage and fun to teach.
• Motivate students to be successful and build confidence in literacy.
