Job summary

Global Educational Excellence is seeking an Elementary Teacher to join our Michigan network of charter schools serving K–5. The teacher will deliver engaging, data-driven instruction, manage classroom culture, and support the whole-child development of each student.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid Michigan teaching certificate or eligibility. CAP pathway is available, and a satisfactory background check is required. This is a full-time, exempt position located in Melvindale, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with elementary endorsement, or eligibility for certification through the Michigan State Board of Education.
• Candidates who do not yet hold a Michigan teaching certificate may qualify through enrollment in GEE's Career Advancement Program (CAP).
• Satisfactory criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver standards-aligned instruction that produces measurable student growth
• Build positive, achievement-focused relationships with students
• Use formative and summative assessment data to adjust instruction and meet individual student needs
• Implement a tiered system of support within the classroom
• Coordinate instruction within and across grade levels
• Communicate regularly with parents, coaches, and administrators regarding student progress
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and collaborative planning sessions
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom environment
