Qualifications

• Working knowledge of effective methods of dealing with children.

Responsibilities

• Gives group instruction as prescribed by teacher; provides individualized instruction.
• Checks and corrects students’ work while in progress; keeps students on task.
• Praises and reinforces achievement of students.
• Reports student progress to teacher.
• Serves as proctor during testing; scores papers; distributes and collects materials.
• Maintains classroom furnishings and equipment; prepares visual aids and duplicates materials.
• Drives a bus when required; maintains CDL license and safety.
• Discharges students at authorized stops and documents behavior as required.
