Position Overview

• Use differentiated instructional strategies to support diverse learners, with an emphasis on foundational reading, writing, and dyslexia-related learning challenges.
• Monitor student progress, identify instructional needs, and adapt teaching approaches to strengthen academic skills and support individualized learning goals.
• Maintain accurate special education documentation and collaborate with general education teachers and the Special Education team to coordinate interventions and promote student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification appropriate for grades K-5
• Valid Elementary Generalist or applicable Content-Area Certification
• Experience supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs; dyslexia experience preferred, along with knowledge of literacy instruction, differentiated teaching strategies, and special education documentation
