Job summary

Valley Catholic Elementary School (VCES) seeks a K–5 Music Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year to provide standards-based music instruction and foster a faith-filled learning environment. The role includes leading a youth ensemble and teaching violin to 4th grade, in addition to supporting school Masses and events.

The successful candidate will collaborate with administration, faculty, and families to develop students' artistic, social, and spiritual growth while upholding Catholic educational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Education or related field.
• Valid teaching license/certification or ability to obtain one.
• Lead a youth ensemble for grades 1-5 and provide violin instruction to 4th-grade students.
• Commitment to supporting and advancing the mission of Catholic education.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with students, families, faculty, and community partners.
• Practicing Catholic preferred, but candidates who support the mission are encouraged.
• Ability to complete required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based music instruction for elementary students.
• Provide violin instruction to 4th-grade students and lead a youth ensemble for grades 1-5.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and collaboration.
• Assess student progress and communicate with families, colleagues, and the school community.
• Prepare students for Masses, prayer services, and school performances.
